Thanks to everyone for making the March 24, 2006 Madisonville-Hopkins County Motorsports Festival such a huge success.

The thunder and color of the race cars coming thru downtown Madisonville was something unique, fun and so extremely well received by the community.

Thanks to the all racing teams that participated and a special thanks to Jamie Crook of the Carpet Barn and to Bruce Browning and his staff at Browning Automotive for making their lots festival centers for the day.

Likewise a huge thank you to all the local merchants who contributed moral support for the event and the welcoming of racing enthusiast all weekend in the area. 

Special thanks to Mayor Karen Cunningham and Hopkins County Judge Executive Patricia Hawkins for their opened arm reception and participation in the Festival. Also to Madisonville Police staff who embraced the event with excitement and anticipation and the Madisonville Fire Department, as well.

M&H Towing and Recovery of Greenville, KY for not only sponsoring the Owensboro Speedzeum simulator but also being present for the parade.

Finally a special thanks to George "Googie" Moore for signing autographs and interacting with the fans as a veteran race of Hopkins County racing.


As this website has served as the official website tool for the 2006 Festival, it will transform during April in to a full-time Kentucky Motorsports website with relevant information on stock car racing in the Bluegrass State.
