<-- No matter the location... Kentucky, Florida or downtown Old San Juan in Puerto Rico, as we've said... it's all about the circles! Two Puerto Rican kids spend a Tuesday night circling a monument in Old San Juan.
From coming in near the old fort, to finding a parking place among the city dwarfing cruise liners... Old San Juan was full of charm. Ocean side graveyard, cramped city streets, post Christmas decorations, racers Dennis "Rambo" Franklin and Brett Dixon and all the others on the Cruise with the Champions found the city to be a fascinating first port of call.
St. Maarten
St. Maarten stands as my favorite port to date. From the friendliest people to some of the most amazing shorelines, St. Maarten (Netherlands) and St. Martin (French) share the small island in unison and host a society unconcerned about outward wealth in favor of inner wealth and living. A monument to celebrate the lifelong joint island between the two countries allows free travel between the divided island without check points or any barrier. A truly amazing port of call for the Cruise with the Champions 7-day Caribbean cruise.
St. Thomas
St. Thomas may be one of the most picturesque stops of any of the port of calls Cruise with the Champions have docked at via Carnival Cruise Lines. From Megan's Beach (one of the 10 best beaches in the world) to the other cove swimming and snorkeling beaches, St. Thomas provides it all, including goggle wearing surf dogs.

<----Think the Cruise with the Champion racing family is the wildest on a ship of thousands? Think again... Meet this family from UTAH... never mind that St. Maarten and St. Thomas both offer clothing optional beaches... it was clothing required when this family broke out the fun in the onboard swimming pool one night. The two cowboys, who wore their cowboy boots all over San Juan, St. Maarten and St. Thomas threw the whole family in and then spent the next day - drying out!
They may even top the Cruise with the Champions expert conga-tail... Joe Porter for wild cap adventures on the high seas!
Empty deck chairs means the end of the 13th Annual Cruise with the Champions and farewell to seven days of sun and fun and back to the race tracks for the hundreds that sailed the seas and back to the routines that even Pam Arms couldn't get away from on-ship... hello real world... until January 5th, 2008... when it's off to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios... Thanks to Cindy Knowles for yet another great cruise and to everyone who made it such an enjoyable time!
Ready to join the fun in '08?....
